10-1 pm Migros Aid Garden.     Come and help out and get our garden beds ready for the 2023 season.  This is our 5th year for the garden! Last year we grew 1,000+ lbs of produce and gave it away FREE to families:  tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, okra, and more. We hire young people to work in the garden throughout the summer as a part-time work and a way to mentor.

In China there is a proverb, “If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people.” Nelson Mandela of South Africa said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Migros Academy is our effort to empower refugee students in their education through tutoring.    It is a 1-hour commitment every Tuesday @ our ministry center.     New volunteers are welcome to come shadow to determine if they want to help.    We have more students than tutors and wish to increase engagement and involvement and need more tutors. Please email us at info@migrosaid.org to get more info or with any questions.
