Our weekly ‘Homework Club’ started back up in August and brought out 21 kids and 5 volunteers.   We meet every Tuesday in a local apartment where the room is filled to capacity.   Most of the parents of young immigrants cannot assist or very limited because of a lack of English.   We also provide arts and crafts activity for the kids.

Migros Aid exists to stand with, encourage, & assist people who have migrated to our city. There are many ways to do that but we think it is strategic to help young immigrants in their education and encourage them to work hard.

Our help is not one time but ongoing.  We believe in moving beyond “toxic charity” (not merely just handing out free things constantly) but through relationships,  assisting and encouraging the immigrant community.    Education is a key ingredient for this to happen.   This is the vision of Migros Aid. Everyone deserves to thrive!
