A Migros Aid group was able to have the opportunity to participate in cleaning and preparing over 50 chickens at a local farm. The chickens were distributed to refugee families in the community.
“It was a fun experience and I was happy to give away the chickens to the people.” said one participant who is a refugee from Rwanda and has lived in Indianapolis for three years.
David Swiney of Zionsville donated the chickens and Bryce Langebartels used his space and equipment to process the chickens. Tom Langebartels facilitating things the group and led the team to the community to bring some joy and surprise to a free chicken.
